Meet your coach
Amy Ardern-Jennings (she/her)
Hi! I'm Amy and I am the driving force behind ARC.
A lot has changed in my life over the past decade, and I've discovered not only
a new way of living, but a passion for helping others thrive in alternative relationships. Throughout my own journey into the world of ethical non-monogamy, I have encountered challenges where my communication skills and self-awareness were tested. I'm now living a life I never thought possible, and am the happiest and most free I've ever felt.
I'm a proud queer, neurodivergent, polyamorous woman, a mother, a poet and an educator, and I look forward to meeting you.

mission & values
It is my mission to empower people to improve their communication skills and enhance their unique relationships.
I believe in honesty, openness and collaboration and provide supportive, judgement-free coaching. My coaching is open to people from all walks of life, and I have a great appreciation for diversity and inclusion. Everyone is welcome, as long as they have a willingness and desire to develop themselves!
I particularly enjoy working with clients within the ENM and kink communities, queer clients, and those with a neurodivergence, but will happily welcome clients outside of these spaces too.
I strongly believe that everyone can benefit from improving their communications and relationships and I love supporting clients to live the life they want.
coaching approach
At ARC, our approach is inspired by the humanistic psychological principles of Carl Rogers, who originally developed Person-Centred Therapy. In coaching, this approach emphasizes your inherent potential for growth, self-awareness, and self-actualization. I facilitate this process by creating a non-directive, empathetic, and supportive environment where you can explore your own thoughts, emotions, and goals. I offer tools and resources to enhance the coaching sessions and ensure you are able to identify and achieve your goals.
Key Principles of Person-Centred Coaching:
-
Unconditional Positive Regard – I offer acceptance and non-judgmental support, ensuring that you feel valued and respected. This helps you to gain confidence and feel safe to explore your true aspirations.
-
Empathy – I actively listen and understand your perspective without imposing my own views. This deep understanding enables you to uncover their own insights and solutions.
-
Congruence (Authenticity) – I am genuine, open, and transparent, creating an atmosphere of trust. Being real encourages you to be honest with yourself.
-
Non-Directive Approach – Unlike traditional coaching methods that may use structured questioning or advice, person-centred coaching allows you to lead the conversation, empowering you to make your own decisions.
-
Self-Actualization – Like Rogers, I believe that every person has an innate drive toward personal growth. My role is to remove obstacles and help you realise your full potential.
Benefits of Person-Centred Coaching:
✅ Empowers you – Encourages ownership of decisions and actions.
✅ Enhances self-awareness – Helps you understand your values, strengths, and goals.
✅ Fosters motivation and confidence – You feel supported and capable of making changes.
✅ Encourages lasting change – Since you develop your own insights, solutions are more sustainable.
